Shuwen Guo


Professor Shuwen Guo, received the Ph.D. degree in semiconductor device physics from Laboratories of Transducer Technology, Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy, Academia Sinica, China in 1990. He was a visiting scientist with Applied Physics Department of Physics and Measurement Technology, Linkoping University, Sweden from 1993 to 1995. He worked as a R&D Engineer with Micro-systems Group, Inter-university Micro-electronics Center (IMEC), Belgium from 1995 to 1996. He continued his research with Case Western Reserve University as a senior principal researcher from 1996-1999. He worked as a senior principal engineer (R&D) with Aircraft Sensors Division, Goodrich Corporation from 2000 to 2012. He has jointed the Soochow University (PRC) through "The Recruitment Program for Foreign Experts" (known as "the Thousand Talents Plan") in 2012, where he is currently a Professor with the Electronic Information College. His research interests are in design, modeling, and fabrication of MEMS sensors. He holds 20 US patents and 7 Chinese patents in the area of MEMS gyroscope, accelerometer and pressure sensors.
