Zhuang Liu

Dr. Zhuang Liu is a professor at Soochow University in China. He received his BS degree from Peking University in 2004 and PhD degree from Stanford University in 2008. In 2009, Dr. Liu joined the Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (FUNSOM) at Soochow University. Dr. Liu is now working in the field of biomaterials and nanomedicine. The primary goal of his research team is to develop innovative materials and nanotechnology for biomedical imaging and cancer therapy. Starting from 2005, Dr. Liu has authored over 250 peer-reviewed papers, which have received a total citation of > 35,000 times and given him an H-index at 92. He was listed as one of the ‘Most Cited Chinese Researchers (Materials Science)’ by Elsevier since 2014, as well as one of the ‘Highly Cited Researchers (Chemistry, Materials)’ by Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters) since 2015. Now he is serving as an associate editor for Biomaterials, and as the editorial board members for 10 different international journals. He has been invited to be the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in 2015. The awards he received include ‘Changjiang Scholar’ Distinguished Professor, Jiangsu Science and Technology Award, ‘NSFC Distinguished Young Scholar Award (Fund)’, Biomaterials Science Lectureship (RSC), Chinese Chemical Society Young Chemist Award, etc.
