Feng Yan


Prof. Feng Yan received his PhD degree in polymer chemistry in 2000 from Nanjing University, China. He received an Alexander von Humboldt research fellowship at University of Ulm in 2001. After postdoctoral work at the University of Rochester and Eastern Michigan University, he joined the faculty at Soochow University in 2006.

His research interests mainly focused on the synthesis and characterization of functionalized ionic liquids, poly(ionic liquids), polyelectrolytes for fuel cells and for antimicrobial applications, as well as carbon materials for electrochemical energy harvesting/generation. He has authored more than 120 publications. He received the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Outstanding Young Scholars in 2014.
