The 4th International Conference on New Diamond and Nano Carbons was held at the conference hall of Binglin Library, Soochow University on 16-20 May, 2010. This conference was jointly sponsored by NDNC’s executive committee, Jilin University, Soochow University, Tsinghua University, etc., and hosted by Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials, Soochow University [FUNSOM].

  The conference provided a venue for more than 200 representatives from all over the world to convene, whose aims were to exchange information on the latest development in this field, create new experimental methods and theories, find pivotal problems, summarize basic laws, and provide theoretical foundations, in the hope of, with joint efforts, promoting an interdisciplinary cooperation on advanced carbon technologies, activating the construction of the relevant research platform, improving the development of our carbon research, and prompting the application and commercialization of this advanced material.
