Henning Sirringhaus


Henning Sirringhaus is Hitachi Professorof Electron Device Physics, Head of Microelectronics and Optoelectronics Group and a Fellow of Churchill College at the University of Cambridge. He has an undergraduate and PhD degree in physics from ETH Z├╝rich (CH).  From 1995-1996 he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Princeton University (USA). He has been working in Cambridge in the field of charge transport in organic semiconductors and their application in field-effect transistorssince 1997. His research interests include the charge and spin transport and photophysics of organic semiconductors as well as solution-processible inorganic semiconductors. He is also interested in high-resolution printing based fabrication of organic devices and applications, such as field-effect transistors and solar cells. In 2000 he co-founded Plastic Logic Ltd., a technology start-up company commercializing printed organic transistor technology.
