Zhiyuan Zhong


Zhiyuan Zhong is a Distinguished Professor and Chair of Soochow University Biomedical Polymers Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in 2002 from the University of Twente (The Netherlands). In 2011-2012, he worked as a Vice President of Suzhou BioBay (a top Biomedical Park in China). His research focuses on biomedical polymers, nanomedicine and targeted cancer therapy. He has co-authored about 200 papers with over 12000 times of citation and an H-Index of 62 (Web of Science). He has filed over 40 patents, among which 11 has been licensed to a pharmaceutical company.

 

He serves as an Associate Editor for Biomacromolecules (ACS), Guest Editor for J. Controlled Release, Promotion Editor for SCI. CHINA Chem., Editorial/Advisory Board Member for over 10 journals including Mater. Today, J. Controlled Release, Nanotechnology, Nano Futures, J. Gene Med., J. Mater. Chem. B, J. Biomater. Sci. Polym. Ed., and Mater. Today Chem., and Executive Chair for the 1st―4th Symposium on Innovative Polymers for Controlled Delivery (SIPCD 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016) held biennially in Suzhou, China. He has received several prestigious international and national awards including Biomacromolecules/Macromolecules Young Investigator Award (ACS), the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award (Humboldt Foundation), National Ten-Thousand Talent Award, and National Outstanding Young Scholar Award.
