The Third Cross-Strait Conference on Network Fault-Tolerance and Fault-Diagnosis (CCNFF) was Held in Soochow University

CCNFF 2016 was held in Soochow University between July 22 and 24. The event, hosted by School of Computer Science & Technology, Soochow University, co-organized by National Taipei University of Business and Donghua University (Taiwan) and guided by Collaborative Innovation Center of Software New Technology and Industrialization in Jiangsu Province, was attended by more than 80 experts from over 40 colleges and universities in Mainland China and Taiwan.

Professor Li Fanzhang, Dean of School of Computer Science & Technology, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He gave an introduction to development course of computer science of the University, overall development of the School and construction of first-class discipline doctoral and postdoctoral programmes in computer science & technology and software engineering. He also extended his thanks to experts for their ongoing support for the development of the School.

Wang Dajin, Chairman of CCNFF Academic Committee and Professor of American Montclair State University, attended the Conference and delivered a speech. He reviewed the previous two conferences, shared the spirit of the Conference, and extended gratitude to the University for our strong support to the conference.

The purpose of CCNFF 2016 is to provide a research results sharing platform for scholars in the field of cross-strait network fault-tolerance and fault-diagnosis, and to enhance cross-strait academic colleagues' communication, exchange and cooperation. Issues related to discrete mathematics and theoretical calculations, especially graph theory, combinatorial optimization, network optimization, network fault tolerance and network fault diagnosis, were discussed at the Conference. Domestic and foreign scholars in the field of network fault tolerance and network fault diagnosis, including Professor Qiu Ke at Brock University in Canada, Professor Xiang Dong at Tsinghua University, Professor Xu Lixing at Providence University, gave more than ten reports at the Conference. Attendees had an extensive and in-depth academic exchange on the latest research progress and trends.
