graduated from Saint-Petersburg State University and received her Ph. D.
in 1987. From 1988 to 2005 she worked as research assistant, research fellow, senior
research fellow and deputy dean of the Dept. of Grammatical Theory in Institute
for Linguistic Studies (Saint-Petersburg) of Russian Academy of Sciences. Prof. M. D. Voeikova is a leading member of Saint Petersburg School
of Functional Grammar and chief expert of Russian National Corpus. She has
considerable achievements in many areas, such as the theory of functional
grammar, children’s language
acquisition,
corpus linguistics etc.
