Lecture Title: Innovation and Prospects of Q Methodology in Applied Linguistics under the Transdisciplinary Paradigm

Brief Introduction of the Lecture: The Q Methodology, as a research approach integrating qualitative and quantitative methods, is at the forefront of research in the field of applied linguistics, with broad prospects for application. The main content of this lecture is the research design, data analysis, and application prospects of Q Methodology in the field of applied linguistics under the transdisciplinary paradigm.
Brief Introduction of Professor Yongyan Zheng: Yongyan Zheng, Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Foreign Languages, Fudan University, currently serving as the Associate Dean of the School of Foreign Languages. In 2021, she was selected as a national-level young scholar in the major talent project, and has been recognized as a highly cited scholar in China by Elsevier for three consecutive years. She is also a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar in the U.S. and a "Zhuoshi Talent" at Fudan University. Professor Zheng is the leader of the Multilingualism Research and Innovation Team at the School of Foreign Languages, Fudan University. Her research interests include second language acquisition, complex dynamic systems theory, bilingual and multilingual development, and language education planning. She has led several projects, including key projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, key projects of the National Language Commission, general projects of the National Social Science Fund, humanities and social science projects of the Ministry of Education, and philosophy and social science projects of Shanghai. In recent years, she has published three academic monographs and over 100 academic papers in both Chinese and English. Professor Zheng serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the international SSCI journal System and the Editor-in-Chief of the international SSCI journal Language, Culture and Curriculum. Her course "Academic Writing" has been recognized as one of the first batch of national-level hybrid first-class courses, combining online and offline teaching.
