Chairman of Australia's Monash University Teaching and Academic Committee Visited Our University

On June 24, Professor Chris Davies, Chairman of Australia's Monash University Teaching and Academic Committee, visited our university, and Jiang Xinghong, Vice-president of Soochow University, met with Chairman Chris Davies in Honglou Conference Center. Both parties conducted in-depth communication concerning cooperation and exchange between the two universities.


Vice-president Jiang Xinghong first expressed warm welcome to Chairman Chris Davies and then introduced our university's history and development in recent years. "Soochow University is a province-owned key comprehensive university. It encourages all colleges and schools and scientific research institutions to carry out cooperation and exchange with overseas high-level universities in personnel exchange, student cultivation, joint scientific research and other aspects. Monash University is a top university in Australia that takes a leading position worldwide in the fields of law, material, media and immune. Soochow University expects to have substantial cooperation with Monash University and expand cooperation to more disciplines with material chemistry as the starting point," she said.


Chairman Chris Davies expressed thanks to Vice-president Jiang Xinghong for her warm reception. "Monash University and Soochow University have many similarities in discipline setting, school size and other aspects, and we will fully support the cooperation between the two universities," he said. He expected to sign the cooperation framework agreement with Soochow University and hoped to take it as an opportunity to promote in-depth cooperation between the two universities. After the meeting, Vice-president Jiang Xinghong accompanied Chairman Chris Davies visiting our campus.
