Delegation from New Jersey Institute of Technology Visited Soochow University

On October 30th, seven scholars from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, including President Joel S. Bloom, Vice President Kenneth Alexo and Simon Nynens, visited Soochow University. Jiang Yong, the Secretary of the CPC Soochow Committee, met with the delegation at the Honglou Convention Center and witnessed with President Bloom that Liu Biao, Vice President of Soochow University, and Kenneth Alexo signed a cooperation agreement on postgraduate preparatory projects between the two universities. Leaders of relevant departments and schools of Soochow University attended this ceremony.

 

 

Secretary Jiang first welcomed the delegation and introduced the history and development of Soochow University. Besides, Jiang expressed his wish that President Bloom would provide suggestions to Soochow University on talent training and social services, and that multi-tiered and multi-field cooperation between Soochow New Jersey Institute of Technology can be further developed. President Bloom expressed his gratitude to Soochow University for the warm reception, introduced the running situation of New Jersey Institute of Technology, and indicated that he attached great importance to the development of friendly relations between his university and the Chinese universities. In addition to signing the cooperation agreement on postgraduate preparatory projects, the two parties also discussed issues related to further expanding exchanges between the universities on the basis of the existing cooperation.
