Landscape architecture students from Soochow University Awarded by the American Society of Landscape Architects

On September 4th, the results of the 2020 ASLA Student Award hosted by American Society of Landscape Architects (hereinafter referred to as ASLA) were announced. With the guidance of Professor Zhai Jun from the Department of Landscape Architecture of Gold Mantis College, the work of "Growing Sand Dunes-Habitat Restoration and Anti-Lessepsian Migration With Landscape Eco-Infrastructure" jointly made by Zhou Yue, Gu Yuqi, Gong Huili, Shi Qijie and Yan Wei from Soochow University  won the most prestigious "Comprehensive Design" award and was listed on the official website and magazine of the American Society of Landscape Designers this year.

As the organizer of the ASLA student competition, the American Society of Landscape Architects established in 1899 is a worldwide professional association with a history of more than 120 years. It has 48 chapters and its members speared in 50 states in the United States and 42 countries in the world.

In the United States and around the world, the ASLA Student Award has received widespread attention as a standard for judging the professional level of landscape architecture.

 

 

Although the landscape architecture major of Soochow University has not been running for a long time, it adheres to the internationalized school philosophy as well as carries out the reform in discipline construction and talent training. Therefore, the teaching quality of landscape architecture of Soo has achieved remarkable results and showed the rapid development.
