On the afternoon of March 23th, the Party Building activity between Soochow University and Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held simultaneously in Suzhou and Sarajevo via video link. Several government and university leaders attended the event, including Secretary Ji Ping from Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Secretary Jiang Yong and Vice President Zhang Xiaohong from Soochow University. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Xiaohong.

Jiang Yong briefly introduced development history and achievements of Soochow University in recent years, and reviewed the cooperation and exchanges between Soochow University and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that this activity initiated the Party Branch Co-Construction between Soochow University and Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was hoped that complementary advantages and cooperation in education, scientific research and other fields would be strengthened through cooperation of both sides.

Ji Ping expected that the comprehensive quality of the Party Members and Cadres and the level of Party Branch Construction would be enhanced by carrying out various cooperation and exchanges. In addition, it was expected that both sides would effectively combine Party Building with business, and strive to explore cooperation opportunities in various fields including scientific and technological innovation, basic research, biomedicine, and agriculture to turn more willingness of cooperation into productivity.

It was understood that Soochow University had established friendly cooperative partnership with the University of Sarajevo, the University of East Sarajevo and BBI bank presently, committed to promoting people-to-people exchanges, people-to-people bonds and mutual benefits between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
