On April 6th, the original Wuxi Opera Tai Bo was performed in Soochow University Enling art center. Nearly 500 teachers and students watched the performance together.

Before the performance, Professor Zhu Donglin from Soochow  University, and former president Wang Jianwei from Wuxi Opera Theatre Company, introduced the historical origin and development of Wuxi Opera, as well as the artistic characteristics of Binbinqiang.

Afterwards, the Wuxi opera Taibo with Wang Ziyu starring was officially performed.

Based on the local history of Wu, Taibo told the story of Taibo, the pioneer of Wu culture and the ancestor of Jiangnan culture 3000 years ago, showing his valuable spirit of courtesy, filial piety, honesty, pioneering spirit and responsibility.

The whole repertoire stirred up the power of touching, promoting the emotional and ideological resonance, bringing the “zero range” cultural experience for teachers and students from Soochow University with its profound artistic style
