On the evening of December 29th, the 2022 Soochow University New Year Concert was performed at Enling Art Center on Dushu Lake campus. Several government leaders and heads from relevant functional departments of Soochow University attended the event.

 The concert was conducted by the permanent conductor Zhang Chengjie from Soochow University Symphony Orchestra and performed by Soochow University Symphony Orchestra. The new year concert kicked off in the joyful Prelude to the Spring Festival.

 On the performance site, famous Chinese and foreign songs were performed in turn. Sometimes the melody was light and bright, elegant and beautiful, and sometimes the momentum was magnificent and volatile，presenting a beautiful auditory feast to the audience.

 The new year concert has been held for eight times and has become one of brand concerts of Soochow University. It aims to make teachers and students feel the charm of music, send new year blessings, place good wishes through music, convey new hope, and open a new chapter. The Soochow University Symphony Orchestra was founded in September, 2014. Its performers are composed of undergraduates and postgraduates from Soochow University School of Music. It has been committed to fully integrating teaching and practice to present more wonderful concerts.
