On the afternoon of September 23, Vice President Antoni Granollers of the University of Lleida, Spain, led a delegation to visit our university. Wu Jiawei, Vice President of Soochow University, received the delegation at the Red Building Conference Center.

Wu Jiawei stated that as comprehensive universities with relatively complete disciplinary structures, both institutions have unique advantages in international cooperation. Since the signing of a memorandum of cooperation in 2015, the two universities have maintained an active and fruitful relationship in faculty and student exchanges. Looking ahead, she expressed hope for further deepening exchanges and cooperation, broadening the scope of collaboration, providing students with more diverse learning opportunities, and promoting professional growth and research sharing among faculty members.

Antoni Granollers highly commended the cooperative achievements in Spanish language program development, teaching, and scientific research over the past decade. He looked forward to the two universities realizing complementary resources, experience sharing, and joint innovation in more academic fields, thus building a closer and more in-depth inter-university partnership.

During the meeting, both parties renewed the inter-university cooperation memorandum, continuing to deepen the friendly cooperative relationship between the two institutions.
