University of York Vice Chancellor Professor Charlie Jeffery and Delegation Visit Our University

On May 20, University of York Vice Chancellor Professor Charlie Jeffery led a delegation to visit our university. Vice President Wu Jiawei met with the guests at the Red Building Conference Center.

Wu Jiawei pointed out that the signing of the inter-university cooperation memorandum by both institutions aims to jointly advance the 2+2 international undergraduate program (with credit exemption) and the 1+X international master's program. This initiative seeks to integrate high-quality educational resources and establish a high-level international education platform, promoting deep integration between the two universities in talent cultivation, academic exchange, and other fields, creating broader development opportunities for students' growth and success. He expressed hope that the two universities will expand cooperation in more areas in the future, jointly address global challenges, and cultivate interdisciplinary international talent.

Professor Charlie Jeffery highly praised our university's educational achievements and systematically introduced the University of York's distinctive features and disciplinary strengths. He noted that the high degree of alignment between both institutions in disciplinary development directions provides broad space and favorable conditions for deepening international cooperation between the two universities. He expressed anticipation that both universities can focus on interdisciplinary educational innovation and international talent cultivation, developing more cooperative potential and opportunities.
