Advanced Materials Publishes a Special Issue Regarding Scientific Research Achievements at NANO-CIC and FUNSOM

On December 16, Advanced Materials, an international top journal in materials science, reported outstanding achievements and progress of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Suzhou Nano Science and Technology (NANO-CIC) and Functional Nano & Soft Materials Laboratory of Soochow University (FUNSOM) in scientific research by issuing a special issue, thus attracting extensive attention from peers at home and abroad.

NANO-CIC is one of the first 14 collaborative innovation centers approved by the Ministry of Education for the national "2011 Plan". As led by Soochow University, NANO-CIC is devoted to the synergetic development of the nano industry in the region by cooperating with Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech, and Nano-Bionics (SINANO) of CAS, University of Science and Technology of China, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Southeast University, and Jiangsu Nanotechnology Innovation Industry Alliance. As one of the important scientific research institutions of Soochow University, FUNSOM is the core team and scientific research force of NANO-CIC.

According to the scientific research direction of NANO-CIC and FUNSOM, Professor Peter Gregory, Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Materials, prearranged for contributions by NANO-CIC and FUNSOM. The special issue consists of five review articles and nine research progress articles, mainly covering such areas as micro and nanofabrication, nano-photoelectricity, environmental nanotechnology, nano energy, and nanobiotechnology. The achievements presented in the special issue fully reflect the interdisciplinary and synergetic development in nanoscience.

For a long time, Advanced Materials has been one of the top journals in materials science, which aims to collect high-quality papers in materials research in terms of the most cutting-edge discoveries and applications. The quote rate of articles has remained on top in materials science. The  publication of this special issue has fully presented the high quality, wide coverage, and significant influences of NANO-CIC and FUNSOM inscientific research, which further reflects the important role of NANO-CIC in the national nanoscience strategy.
