Recently, the innovation index research center of intellectual property industry media IPRdaily and incoPat have jointly released the “China's universities patent transfer ranking (TOP100)”. As of February 05, 2020, the list ranks the number of patent applications/patent transfers (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) registered with the national intellectual property office of the People's Republic of China by Chinese universities. It is turned out that Soochow University has accumulated 702 patents, ranking the tenth among the national universities.



In recent years, Soochow University attaches great importance to intellectual property work and has made remarkable achievements. The number of patents transferred has exceeded 100 pieces per year for three consecutive years. And Soochow University also won six Chinese patent excellence awards in total. It has been approved by the Ministry of Education for the first batch of projects such as "demonstration base for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and technology transfer in universities" and "Jiangsu high-value patent cultivation program".
