The "3+2" Accelerated Degree Program





1. The National University of Singapore (NUS)


(1) Introduction to the Program
The National University of Singapore and Soochow University have signed an agreement for the cooperation of an accelerated degree program in August 2005, and in 2007 this program was officially put into action. Students from the School of Mathematics, Physics or the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Material Science (CCCEMS), who have studied in Soochow University for three years, can apply for a two-year program in the National University of Singapore. After the program, students can earn their bachelor’s degree from Soochow University (usually after one year's study in National University of Singapore) and master’s degree from the National University of Singapore. The majors for master’s students to choose from are: Master of Science in Chemistry, Master of Science in Applied Physics, Master of Science in Physics, Master of Science in Mathematics, and Master of Science in Statistics.
(2) Fees:
At the National University of Singapore, the tuition is charged as the standard for international students set by NUS. And the living expenses are approximately 12,000 Singapore dollars / year.  The tuition in Soochow University is charged as the standard for international students set by the school.
(3) Start-up time for the program:
Application time: in March every year;
Time to go abroad: in the beginning of August every year.  

2. The University of Akron in USA


(1) Introduction to the Program
The University of Akron and Soochow University signed an agreement for the cooperation of an accelerated degree program for students majoring in polymer chemistry in December, 2010. Students the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Material Science (CCCEMS) who have studied in Soochow University for three years can apply for a two-year program at the University of Akron. After the program, students can earn their bachelor’s degree from Soochow University (usually after one year's study in University of Akron) and master’s degree from the University of Akron.
(2) Fees:
At the University of Akron, the tuition is charged at the same rate as a local student which is very good for international students. The tuition for Soochow University is charged as the standard for international students set by the school.
(3) Start-up time for the program:
Application Period: in December of each year;
Time to go abroad: in August of the following year.

3. SKEMA Business School, France


(1) Project Description:
SKEMA Business School has two campuses: Lille campus and Sophia Antipolis campus. SKEMA Business School and Soochow University signed an agreement on the cooperation of an accelerated degree program on May 4, 2011.
Students majoring in economics, management or related majors who have studied at Soochow University for three years without failing any courses and with certain certificates for English proficiency (IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 560, and TOEIC 800) can apply for the program. After the program, students will have earned their bachelor’s degree from Soochow University (usually after one year's study in SKEMA Business School) and master’s degree from SKEMA Business School.


(2) Fees:
At the University of Akron, the tuition is charged the same as a local student which is very good for international students. Tuition for the two-year program is approximately € 19,000. The tuition for Soochow University is charged as the standard for international students set by the school.

(3) Start-up time for the program:
Application Period: in March and April each year;
Time to go abroad: in August of the following year
