The 6th Cell Death & Disease Symposium on Tissue Microenvironment and Diseases Held by the Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University



From November 8th to 9th, the 6th Cell Death & Disease Symposium on Tissue Microenvironment and Diseases, co-hosted by the Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Soochow University, was held in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. A dozen of experts from home and abroad were invited to attend and made keynote speeches at the symposium. These honorable participants came from many well-known institutes such as the UK Medical Research Council, Cancer Research UK Glasgow Centre, The University of Melbourne, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Blood & Oncology of Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, University of Massachusetts Medical School, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Soochow University and Institutes for Biological Sciences of Chinese PLA General Hospital.

Divided into four topics for plenary lectures and panel discussion, the symposium introduced some latest advancement in research fields such as cell death & autophagy, oncobiology, stem cell biology, immunology and translational medicine based on the current issues and development trends of international research on translational medicine.
