Journals of Soochow University rank high concerning the reprint quantity of paper as secondary literature




Hosted by Chinese American Society of Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology, the 2017 CASNN Annual Meeting, with FUNSOM as its organizer, was held in Suzhou from July 28th to July 31st. Under the host of Professor Liu Zhuang and Chair Professor Cheng Jianjun (Profess of the University of Illinois) of the College of Nano Science and Technology of Soochow University, the meeting has invited over 50 world-leading scientists to give their  meeting reports and invited lectures, including  Academician Kam W. Leong, Professor of Columbia  University, Academician Dai Hongjie, Professor  of Stanford University, and Academician Tang Benzhong, Professor of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.




On the morning of July 29th, Secretary Jiang Yong of the Part committee of Soochow University and Deputy Director Yan Dingjin of the First Fundamental Office of the High-Tech Research and Development Center presented in the opening ceremony and delivered relevant speeches. In his speech, Secretary Jiang Yong extends a cordial welcome to the experts and scholars presented, makes a brief introduction of the ancient city and the University to the attendees, and highlights FUNSOM, the organizer of the meeting. He speaks highly of the achievements made by FUNSOM in the past nine years since its foundation, and hopes that the meeting could promote further cooperation and exchanges in the field.  





When introducing the status quo of nanobiotechnology in China and the newest policies in the field, Director Yan Dingjin claims that by taking advantage of the meeting, a good platform for communication, he hopes that different research teams could exchanges and learn from one another, so as to promote the innovation and development of nanomedicine and nanobiotechnology in China.




Before the starting of the meeting, Mr. Chen Xiaoyuan, the president of Chinese American Society of Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology and professor of the National Institutes of Health has presented the 2017 CASNN Lifetime Achievement Award to Professor Liang Jinrong to commend his outstanding contributions to the scientific researches in the field.




The three-day meeting, though  covering loads of agendas, has attracted over  400 passionate attendees, whose enthusiasms  are as hot as the weather in Suzhou. Under  the frame of the meeting, there are also some  attractive sub-events, such as the Forum for  Young Scholars, the Forum for  the clinical industry and poster  exhibitions. In  addition, presented  by  Academician  Tang Benzhong  and Academician Liang Jinrong, five  attendees have been awarded with the  CASNN 2017 Future Scientist Award, and  another eleven with the CASNN  2017 Poster Award.




With the purposes of increasing the exchanges and interactions among researchers in Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology in the U.S. and China, and promoting the development of these fields, the meeting has provided a good platform for the attendees to discuss the development trends in the fields mentioned above. By introducing information regarding the newest research results and clinical applications, the platform would further the exchanges and cooperation in Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology among experts, scholars and entrepreneurs in both countries.
