Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Academic Degrees Committee announced the list of dual bachelor's degree programs for cultivating versatile talents in Jiangsu's regular higher education institutions in 2024. Our university's application for the "Business Administration + Nanomaterials and Technology" program was approved.
The dual bachelor's degree program for cultivating versatile talents in "Business Administration + Nanomaterials and Technology" is a collaborative effort between our university's School of Business and the College of Nano Science & Technology. The program focuses on reforming the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents through the intersection and integration of liberal arts and engineering. It aims to cultivate high-level, versatile talents in scientific and technological innovation management who possess both theoretical and practical knowledge of business operations and management, as well as an understanding of industry development and technological innovation patterns. The program will commence enrollment this year based on the Business Administration major, with a four-year duration. Upon completing the specialized talent training plan and meeting the degree conferment requirements, students can be awarded dual bachelor's degrees.
In recent years, the university has actively responded to the needs of talent cultivation in the new era by leveraging its advantages in comprehensive disciplines, integrating high-quality platform resources, and carrying out dual bachelor's degree programs for cultivating versatile talents. Currently, five programs have been approved, including "Finance + Computer Science," "Chemistry + New Energy Materials and Devices," "Accounting + Artificial Intelligence," "Intellectual Property + Biopharmaceuticals," and "Business Administration + Nanomaterials and Technology." In the next step, the university will continue to adhere to the principles of high starting point, high standards, and high quality, continuously strengthen the connotation construction of majors, actively explore reforms in talent cultivation models that involve interdisciplinary integration, improve the quality of independent talent cultivation, and promote the university's "Double First-Class" construction to reach new heights.
